Two Together Railcard - Broke in London

Two Together Railcard

1/3 discount with National Rail’s new railcard

By Manolis Zografakis

In case you haven’t heard, National Rail has launched the ‘Two Together Railcard” for couples or people aged 16 and above who travel together. National Rail’s Two Together railcard takes 1/3 off the cost of most rail tickets (many Standard and First Class Anytime, Off-Peak, Super Off-Peak and Advance fares, across the national rail network) except morning peak times Mondays to Fridays between 4:30am and 9:30am.

The Railcard costs just £30 (that’s £15 each) and you can buy the card online, at a staffed station ticket office or by phone. If you decide to buy it online (which we recommend as the most reasonable and easier way) it will be delivered free within 5 working days.

So, if you travel by train with a friend or partner on a regular basis the ‘Two Together’ Railcard can save you a lot of money. You will need of course to judge whether it makes financial sense for you depending your needs and travel habits. We were going through the readers comments and although some found the card a great offer others did not really see the added value for them. Hence, make the calculations to see if it worth spending £15/year for the card and if so just go for it!
