There are several interesting free things to do in London this weekend. It’s the last Friday of the month so several galleries and art spaces in South London open their doors till late and they offer art tours and special events. Moreover, on Friday Johnny Borrell & Zazou are performing at Servant Jazz Quarters in Dalston and the event is free but remember to have a ‘mandala’ with you in order to get in without paying. On Saturday, there is a free Latin festival at Nursery Row Park in Elephant & Castle as well as the launch of the Rich Mix Youth Takeover Festival with free workshops, music events and more. Finally on Sunday, the street community festival Brixton Splash returns to the heart of Brixton to celebrate its tenth birthday and it’s a must attend event. So, without further ado we present our Top 5 Free Events in London this weekend 31 July – 2 August 2015.   1. Brixton Splash held across roads surrounding Brixton Market, SW9 8JX – Sun 2 (12:00–7pm)
    A day of street partying, music, free arts workshops, a craft market, food and booze…
  2. Rich Mix Youth Takeover Festival at Rich Mix, E1 6LA – Sat 1 Aug – Sat 22 Aug
    A 22 day festival is with free workshops, performances and gigs for those aged 16 – 25
  3. Johnny Borrell & Zazou + Pat Dam Smyth at Servant Jazz Quarters, N16 8JN – Fri 3 (from 7:30pm)
    A must attend Hypnagogic Mandala Party – The gig is free entry if you bring one ‘mandala’!
  4. Slam Fridays in various galleries and venues in South London – (6pm – 8:30pm)
    Late night opening of galleries and artist-led tours in south London galleries.
  5. Plaza Latina 2015 at Nursery Row Park, East Street  – Sat 1
    A Latin American festival with latin music, food, dance, arts & crafts and traditional kids activities.
