Last-Minute DIY Halloween Outfits!

All Hallows’ Eve is around the corner people, and there should be two items on your list: the cool costume and the party you need to wear it at. It’s at this time of the year I scavenge the web for the scariest and wittiest outfits without breaking the bank (and trying to avoid the over-worn ghosts or sexy devils!)

If you still haven’t thought about it, don’t panic because we’ve got you covered:

#1 | Thief

What you will need: B&W striped tee, black leggings, black gloves, a black mask and a black litter bag full of… litter, or folded paper or treasures- up to you!

This is a classic and pretty easy to assemble as you will almost certainly have some of those items in your closet. Alternatively, hit the nearest Primark. Last year I got a tee, gloves and a mask for a total of £6!

#2 | Cereal Killer

What you will need: a Kellogg’s mini multi-package (available in most supermarkets) and some forks

I cracked when I saw this picture online! You can go ahead and add a spill of fake blood and a really aggressive face, and you are ready to hit the dance floor!

#3 | Grumpy cat

What you will need: face-paint, black outfit, cat eyes and tail (honestly this is available anywhere! Try Poundland)

Based on the most famous internet meme, this is the classic cat costume with a twist! Check on Stylist for more details!

#4 | Error 404: Costume Not Found

What you will need: a white tee and a marker

This is one for the cool lads out there (to my flatmates: are you reading this?) – Minimum effort but will be a good ice-breaker (the beer is optional!)

#5 | Sherlock Holmes and victims

What you will need: One will be dressed as the man himself in a trench coat, hat and holding a pipe, and the rest will be dressed as victims! Plenty to choose from: Baskervilles dog, the man with the twisted lip, even dear Watson!

With the successful BBC series and the recent exhibition about the man who never lived and will never die at the Museum of London, this is a no-brainer – especially for a group.
