November is finally here, and it’s already beginning to feel a lot like Christmas in London town. From the igloos that have appeared on the Thames to the twinkly lights that have been put up on shopping streets across the city, there are lots of things to keep you occupied. We at Broke in London have put together a list of the things we are looking forward to this weekend and we hope you get excited about them too!

#1 | The World Press Photo Exhibition | Southbank | Free

The World Press Photo Exhibition returns to the Royal Festival Hall this winter with a set of moving, thought-provoking and often very graphic images.

When: All weekend. Exhibition will run until Monday, 21st November.
Where: Royal Festival Hall, Southbank Centre, Belvedere Road, Lambeth, SE1 8XX.
Cost: Free.

It wouldn’t be fireworks in London without check out one of the amazing displays that the city has to offer. What’s more, this one has a great funfair that is open all day.

When: Saturday 5th November, 12pm-9pm (Funfair opens at 12pm, food stalls and bar open at 5pm and fireworks begin at 8pm).
Where: Blackheath, SE3 9LE.
Cost: Free.

Over fifty sellers will be getting together for the last Frock Me! fair of the year, bringing vintage fashions from the 1920’s all the way 1970s.

When: Sunday, 6th November (11am-5.30pm).
Where: Chelsea Old Town Hall, King’s Rd, SW3 5EE.
Cost: £4 (or £2 for a student with an NUS card).

As part of the “You Say You Want A Revolution” exhibition at the V&A organisers will be throwing a 60’s inspired party, with DJs, theatre performances and film screenings.

When: Friday 4th – Sunday 6th November.
Where: V&A, Cromwell Rd, Knightsbridge, SW7 2RL
Cost: Free.

For one night only, the whole of Oxford Street will be pedestrianised as we watch the Christmas lights be turned on by R’n’B star Craig David. There will also be music by The Vamps, street food and a giant Monopoly board.

When: Sunday 6th November, (2pm-6:30pm).
Where: Oxford Street.
Cost: Free.
